Success! Edgewood Rd Crossing Complete

We appreciate all of the neighbors, drivers and pedestrians for their patience with the road closure and detour Labor Day weekend! With your support, the Contractor installed the new drinking water pipeline across Edgewood Road.

Project Updates:

Receiving Pit Side (Near Woodhue Court and Edgewood Road)
  • All 24 secant piles have been installed forming the walls of the receiving pit.
  • The Contractor is drilling relief holes through the harder rock so they can begin excavation of the receiving pit next week on September 12, 2012.

Jacking Pit Side (on the Bennett Road median)
  • Crews who were excavating reached the bottom of approximately 40ft deep jacking pit. They poured concrete slab bottom to make the tunnel shaft completely water proof.
  • This week the tunnel subcontractor began mobilizing to the site. They are preparing to begin micro-tunneling on September 20, 2012.
