Mountain Cascade, Inc. (MCI) will begin potholing along the SFPUC Right of Way this week. Potholing is the first step before other construction activities can take place. It involves digging a small hole to determine the depth of the existing pipelines and other utilities.
MCI will begin potholing near the intersection of South Place and Avenida del Ora in Redwood City and will move west towards Cordilleras. Potholing activities are expected to take several weeks. Pipeline installation will begin in early May.
Additionally, over the coming weeks you will begin to see construction equipment, including backhoes and other materials, stored in the Right of Way in these areas.
